Mark S. Roher has nearly 25 years experience in private practice representing both individual and corporate clients in business and consumer bankruptcy proceedings, commercial litigation, creditors' rights matters, collections and out-of-court workouts.

Mr. Roher focuses his practice on all aspects of bankruptcy, creditors' rights, bankruptcy litigation and reorganization, commercial litigation and assignment for the benefit of creditors proceedings. Mr. Roher has represented secured and unsecured creditors, as well as Chapter 11 debtors-in-possession in cases involving a wide range of businesses and industries including casino cruise lines, car dealerships, office buildings, publication printers, various real estate projects, and condominium developers. Notably, he has represented bankruptcy trustees in several large Ponzi scheme cases involving hundreds of millions of dollars.

He has prosecuted numerous avoidance actions to recover fraudulent and preferential transfers on behalf of bankruptcy trustees and has similarly defended a great many avoidance actions. Mr. Roher also has experience representing banks in large and complex commercial foreclosure actions and in several cases has obtained final judgments of foreclosure in less than sixty days. More recently, Mr. Roher represented a large group of investors in a massive Ponzi scheme involving a bankrupt Fort Lauderdale law firm.

Prior to opening his own firm, Mr. Roher was a bankruptcy and commercial litigation partner and special counsel at large national firms in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, as well as a partner with a boutique bankruptcy and creditors' rights firm in Fort Lauderdale.

Mr. Roher is active in professional organizations such as the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida and the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar.

Mr. Roher earned his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 1999, where he served as an Articles and Comments Editor for the University of Miami Law Review. Prior to obtaining his juris doctor, Mr. Roher graduated with honors from York University in 1995 with a Bachelors of Arts.

Mr. Roher was born in Toronto, Canada and has lived in South Florida since 1996. He lives in Cooper City, Florida, with his wife, two children and the family's dogs.
